All Classes:
Students have been taking notes for two weeks now, and they should have information on all 7 topics. On Monday, I will give out the rubric for the Cornell Notes and the Source Cards, totaling 118 summative points. Students will have the week to add to their notes and prepare the source cards properly. Notes and cards will be collected at the beginning of the period on Friday, January 31. Late notes and cards will be penalized 10% each day they are not turned in. This will be the first grade of the third quarter. All Classes:
Cornell Note-Taking - Books & Internet Sites Students have until Jan. 31 to complete the 7 topics of notes. They have been told that I will make them copies of any book pages they need to work on notes at home. If students have the internet, a cell phone, or access to the library, they can take notes for homework. Time management is KEY during this process. Off task behaviors will have a serious consequence. Notes will be collected on Jan. 31, and we will move to outlining. If we have any snow days, the schedule will move back the number of days we are out. Students met with the high school counselors today in ELA. They are bringing home their high school course selection sheets today, and they are due back, signed by a parent/guardian by January 13.
